The pandemic of a new type of coronavirus COVID-19, announced by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020, has a profound impact on all aspects of life around the world. Due to the threat of the coronavirus, states are closing borders and introducing unprecedented security measures.

At Phoenix Software, we are concerned about the deteriorating situation and try to reduce the risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection. We advise our employees to work remotely until the situation improves. Also, we’ve made a list of rules on how to avoid being infected. Please read it carefully and share it with your friends!

How to avoid COVID-19:

  • Always wash your hands before eating.
  • Do not share drinks, cutlery, and toiletries with other people. This is one of the main modes of transmission of various infections in work teams.
  • Until your hands are washed or disinfected, do not touch your nose, lips, or other parts of your face.
  • In case of coughing, sneezing, runny nose – use disposable napkins to cover the mouth and nasal cavity, which should be thrown away immediately, after which treat your hands with an antiseptic.
  • Avoid crowded places, give up public events.
  • Try to keep your distance from people who have coughs, sneezes, fever, and runny nose.
  • Wipe your phone with antiseptic.
  • Keep other surfaces clean as well – at work and home. Wipe keyboard, mouse, desk, remotes, office equipment, and other things with an antiseptic.
  • In the case of cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, and other symptoms of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) against the background of weakness, seek medical attention.
  • Refuse to travel to countries or places where the epidemiological threshold for coronavirus infection COVID-19 has been raised. Don’t travel at all if it’s possible.
  • Avoid shaking hands, hugging, and kissing.
  • Lead a healthy lifestyle – get enough sleep, include foods with a high content of vitamins and macro-microelements in the diet, do not allow hypothermia. The main factor in the development of infectious diseases is the infection of the body, and the second, no less important, is weakened immunity.
  • In crowded places or public transport, wear medical masks. In the open air with a small number of people, a mask is not needed.

The world is gradually getting used to the fact that in the name of security it is possible and necessary to sacrifice some of its habits, needs, and even freedoms. In general, the pandemic was supposed to become a unifying force: we have all gone through difficult times together, this unites and obliges us to forgive each other more, to be more tolerant of differences. Countries help each other with medical equipment, doctors, protective equipment.

Today, we call upon companies and enterprises to foster financial support for projects and programs relating to overcoming this big problem!
